#198 – Havana 3 AM – self titled (1991)

Havana 3 AM was Paul Simonon’s band after the Clash broke up and this album would be the only one that the original line up would ever release together. This CD brings me back to the summer of 1991 and reminds me of hot summer days hanging out at Cedar private beach with 104.1 blaring out of the radio (when they were alternative) and a cold beer in my hand. The only real song of note that ever recieved radio airplay was “Reach The Rock”, which was an alt-rave tune that would set my toes to tappin’. The rest of this disc contains the music of a rockabilly band with a heavy Latino and reggae influence
